High School Boys: Spring  2010.   The CHSAA (High School) Lacrosse program, grades 9-12 will be run by the school district according to CHSAA rules and regulations.

 

All participating athletes will follow the district’s criteria for being a student athlete in District 51. This includes a physical, carrying insurance, maintaining grades etc. the same as other school based sports.

 

There are 7 other teams within our “Western League” These include Battle Mountain (Vail), Eagle Valley (Gypsum), Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs, Durango, Summit County and Aspen. We will be playing each team twice for a total of 14 games. The schedule for the boy’s team is posted on the  High School Athletics website

 

The plan right now for the boys is to have 1 varsity team, and one  varsity team each at FMHS and GJHS This depends on the number of students signing up. We may even wind up with a HS club team if we have enough signups. Lack of coaches could be a limiting factor.
